Wedding bells, new suit and sparkling red shoes

Just before we were struck down with the flu, we showed the world how to have a good time at a wedding. Max appeared in a classy, navy suit with a silver tie and polished black shoes. Lucy debuted her Christmas dress and her new "Dorothy" shoes. And Harvey flashed his heart melting smile all night. The kids had the time of their lives. My friend Liz had the most kid friendly wedding I have ever been to. There was a Candy Bar (a table with endless bowls of candy), an empty stage with spotlights ready for any brave, young dancer, Root Beer floats, and of course cake!
the ceremony and the only time I got all three kids together
Max was the first of all the guests to brave the stage pulling out some of his best dance moves

awww...Isn't my mom stunning?

hams!

the sweetest baby alive

playing coy
Max even danced with the Bride! We had to drag him off the dance floor at the end of the night!
Now that's how a dress should twirl...thanks Aunt GiGi! Lucy was coy with everyone but the photographer.
you get the picture...

Veteran's Day

The boys got full camo gear...Lucy got a new kitchen and a princess dress in honor of Veteran's Day.
Harvey is a man's man through and through. He loved every second of dressing up like his big bro.
Lucy Jerilou Jones...what can you say? She changed her name to Cinderella that day and would respond to nothing else.
Where did Max and Harvey go? This picture was immediately followed by a game of hide and seek which Max was convinced that nobody would be able to see him even if he was in the middle of the room....aw to be invisible!

Halloween...better late than never

Max and his buddy Arthur were the coolest skeletons in town!
We can't go trick or treating without Grandma and Grandpa!
This is a highlight from our Halloween party...one of the many games...pin the collar on the priest. We had loads of fun! The camera pooped out and I didn't get any good pictures, but we had tons of fun with 16 kids and their parents whooping it up in good Catholic style.
Here's our skeleton, dragon, and Jack O' Lantern assessing their candy at the end of it all. And yes, Lucy is double fisting lollipops...only on HALLOWEEN!

Visitors from the East

Evan's brother Andrew and his family visited us mid October. We had the world's greatest time! Here's some pictures from our trip to the Washington Coast.
Grandpa Chris taught the kids about "ocean power"
Lucy and Agatha very seriously made "juice" yum yum
Harvey and Evan
The freezing survivors of the rogue wave.
Toddler paradise
Max was in charge of decorating the sand castle
Beautiful Mary B
Not quite the beach, but it will do in a pinch!
Andrew, Sarah, Mary, Agatha, and baby on the way....we love you so much!! Max decided yesterday that we should move to St. Louis "because we don't get to see Mary and Agatha enough." Evan and I asked him if he would miss Grandma and Grandpa to much if we moved to St. Louis. He said, "Sure I would!" "When we've seen enough of them, we can move to Yynden!"

Cousins

All my sisters in law are PREGNANT! How many people can say that? We have no shortage of cousins around here. Evan and I have been blessed with five nieces and one nephew in the last four years with three more on the way!! With our three that makes a whopping 12! Here they all are, with the exception of Mr. Oliver William. We miss you Oli Bill!
Mary, Agatha, Harvey, Max and Lucy
These are our sweet cousins from St. Louis.
Lucy, Aliyah, Grace, Brianna, and Max
These are our adorably, rambunctious cousins from Tacoma. Never a dull moment with the Newton girls!

"I Am a Real Cowboy"

Max is three, but he has decided he wants to turn thirteen on his next birthday. So he can be as old as his cousin and idol, Joe. Max says, "when your thirteen, you get to stay up really late." Max wants to be a daddy and a cowboy when he grows up. He can most often be found on all fours pretending to be Simba from the Lion King. He "just can't wait to be king!"
Here's the full cowboy getup...thanks Uncle Drew for the awesome boots! Max wears the boots and the hat every day and insists that he is a "real" cowboy. If he ever asks you if you want to see his "little kid moves" accept immediately! It is quite a show he has been perfecting!

Lucy is TWO

Lucy is the belle of the ball...just ask her!
Lucy ditched her diapers, pacifier, crib and subsequently naps! She's moving on to Big Girl stuff. And I mean actually MOVING ON...she never stops. She jumps, dances, helps in the kitchen, does most of Max's bidding and continually chatters.

Seven Months

Harvey is seven months. He's an absolute angel!! He spends most of his time smiling, eating and sleeping. He laughs from the gut, like he really means it...which keeps everyone laughing.
His favorite sport is trying to keep up with Max and Lucy...good luck Baby!!

He can most often be found bouncing. He can really get this thing swinging!

Getting ready for Easter

Our friends Sarah and Gene helped us color Easter eggs.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter!
Harvey got many compliments on his Easter tie.

Evan walked into the play room to find Max leaping from the top of a punching bag.
Don't worry, there was a landing pad!
The hunt has begun.
Lucy caught right on.
A successful Easter egg hunt....thanks Taylors!

The Easter bunny came to our house!
Lucy found her basket under the table.
Max discovers the infamous Cadbury Egg!
